Andrés Orozco-Estrada, conductor
Rudolf Buchbinder, piano
This concert pays tribute to Beethoven, born exactly 250 years ago, and offers the festival a grandiose finale. The great composer spent more than half of his life in Vienna. His 5th Piano Concerto and 7th Symphony are monuments of the symphonic repertoire. They are performed in this closing concert by one of the world’s best orchestras, conducted by its new chief conductor. Austrian pianist Rudolph Buchbinder is also a fine connoisseur of Beethoven's works.
