The 75th edition of Septembre Musical Celebrates Switzerland’s Cultural Heritage
The 75th edition of Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey will take place from 18th to 30th September 2021, across a selection of the Swiss Riviera’s most iconic locations. The event is a celebration of the richness and diversity of Switzerland's cultural heritage, featuring not only the country's best artists, but also its emerging talents, in a variety of fields. A unique collaboration with the Montreux Jazz Festival will round off the programme.
Following Russia in 2019 and Austria in 2020 (postponed), Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey will be honouring Switzerland in 2021. From 18th to 30th September 2021, the festival will showcase Switzerland’s best orchestras, conductors and soloists, such as the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, the flautist Emmanuel Pahud, the violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and the pianist Francesco Piemontesi. The event is therefore brimming with internationally renowned talents in the world of classical music, but also offers other styles of music thanks, for example, to yodel singer Nadja Räss. This presentation of the cultural richness Switzerland has to offer will be rounded off by a performance by the Mummenschanz theatre troupe.
The full artistic programme will be announced on 17th March 2021. The box office will open to the general public on the same day.
