Duparc / Honegger

The history of the OSR is closely related to the Septembre Musical’s region: Ernest Ansermet, the founder of the prestigious Geneva-based orchestra, was born in Vevey. A little more than a century after its creation, the OSR is still attached to the French repertoire cherished by Ansermet. Under its current artistic director, the ensemble gives the Swiss mezzo Marie-Claude Chappuis the pleasure of singing some of Henri Duparc’s beautiful melodies before listening to our inner struggles and quest for happiness in Arthur Honegger's Third Symphony.

Henri Duparc (1848-1933) - Melodies
Arthur Honegger (1892-1955) - Symphony No. 3 «Liturgique»

The concert, with an intermission of about 20 minutes, ends around 21:45. It is recorded by Espace 2.
